ROMCUL now has over 400 First Savers (previously referred to as Young Savers) under the age of 16, and there are special weekly collections (only during term time, of course) at the following schools:
| town | school | day | start time |
| ABERMULE | Abermule School | Thursday | 8.45 am |
| CAERSWS | Caersws Primary School | Thursday | 9.00 am |
| MACHYNLLETH | Machynlleth Primary School | Thursday | 8.45 am |
| Ysgol Bro Ddyfi | Wednesday | 8.30 am | |
| NEWTOWN | Maesyrhandir | Tuesday | 8.30 am |
| Treowen | Monday | 8.45 am | |
| Ysgol Dafydd Llwyd | Thursday | 9.00 am | |
| TREFEGLWYS | Ysgol Dyfrynn Trannon | Friday | 9.30 am |
| WELSHPOOL | Gungrog School | Friday | 8.45 am |
| Oldford School | Friday | 8.45 am | |
| Ysgol Maesydre | Thursday | 8.45 am |
The children help run the collection themselves, have their own newsletter and regular competitions.
These collection points are open both to First Savers and to any adults with authority to be at the school (such as teachers or the parents of children attending it).
If your school is not involved and your children would like to become First Savers, why not help start a collection? Alternatively, you could open an account at your nearest Credit Union office. A few pounds a week soon mounts up and Credit Union loans are a very low cost way of borrowing money for students and young people.
