Annual General Meeting 2009
The Annual General Meeting 2009 was held at Plas Dolerw on Monday 30th March, with more members in attendance than in recent years.
Gareth Thomas, Chair of ROMCUL, gave a presentation summarizing recent developments in the credit union and plans for the future. The audited accounts were presented and approved. Auditors were appointed for the coming year and Directors were elected.
The opening business was followed by an introductions to the Community Banking Partnership (by Rina Clarke, CBP Co-ordinator, amd Mick Brown, Development Manager for the Robert Owen Community Banking Fund) and an outline of the CBAccount by Mick Brown.
Jenny Millard was presented with a bunch of flowers by Rina Clarke. Jenny has been an active Director since the credit union started in 1995 but has decided to step down from the Board after 14 years.
Jenny's knowledge and experience will not be lost to the credit union, however, because she will continue as an active volunteer in core operations.
